Advent Activities

We had something planned for each day and managed to get them all done except two (ice skating and Baby Jesus Birthday Party) when the kids were feeling under the weather.  Here's some highlights:

Making ornaments for the grandparents.

Glowsticks at the parade.

Loved the lighted parade.

Reading a story with Maw Susan.

We made birdseed ornaments to hang on the trees outside.

Decorating gift bags.

We decorated gingerbread houses and put them outside on the window ledge.  I don't recommend using a year old gingerbread kit, but the kids still had fun.

Paper strip Christmas tree.

Logan attended the Gladney Christmas party.  He made this angel ornament and dropped off our donations for the birth moms.

Riding the carousel instead of waiting in the really long line to see Santa.
Elmo, our Elf on the Shelf

Elmo brought us breakfast on his first morning.  It included snow covered doughnuts and arctic blast hot cocoa.

I created these for our new stocking holders.

Snowscapes with whipped cream.

The kids made garlands to put in their windows.
There were special treats in the countdown stocking each day, including these Lego ornaments.

Hanging their special yearly ornaments.

Putting the star on the tree.

We baked cookies for Logan's teachers.

Logan and Daddy completing the Lego countdown calendar figurines.

Elmo left us reindeer food when he finally went back to the North Pole for good.

Putting out the treats Christmas Eve.
Logan at the GFA event.

Another birdseed ornament for our feathered friends.

The birthday cake we made for the Baby Jesus.

We did finally get to see Santa and Mrs. Claus.
