Sophie and I went to the second largest museum of modern art and it is right here in our own backyard. They had a special family tour and activity. Sophie was still too young to really get much out of the activities (lots of drawing and sketching), but I enjoyed learning about some of the art pieces and we both enjoyed the outing

Sophie's favorite piece was Andy Warhol's 25
Marilyns. She also was very interested in a piece that had a gigantic dried sunflower on it. One of the great things about the artwork we saw today was everything was big, huge! I think that is one reason Sophie liked it. She stood and pointed at that 2 story tall sunflower for several minutes.

Although she had a good time she was done after about 40 minutes, so we'll go back for short visits.
