Shrove Tuesday

The Children's Ministry group at church has a pancake dinner on Shrove Tuesday (the day before Ash Wednesday). Sophie and I went mainly because it was a meal I didn't have to cook and Paul was working late. Sophie didn't like wearing the mask, but she thought it was funny on me.

She loved the pancakes, probably ate half of one, plus some of her veggies.

We had fun watching the older children play games with the pancakes, like flipping them from a skillet and seeing who could toss them the farthest. That would be the kid who managed to get his to slide under the door of a locked office. Ha, ha!

Here is Sophie with the beads on, but she didn't get to keep them very long since everything goes straight to her mouth these days.
