I didn't start the day planning to do this post so I didn't really take pictures, but we've done so much that I decided to document it. So here's the play-by-play:
6:30am Up, shower, and dressed
7am Got the kids up, dressed, breakfast, and ready to go
8am Took Logan George to new preschool, then off to work, with a stop at Starbucks for
frappacinno and chocolate milk
9
ish dropped Sophie with
childcare worker and did payroll in my office
10
ish quick trip to Babies R Us for diapers and wipes
11am picked up Logan George at school, got there early so wrote his names on his eggs for their party on Thursday
11:30 lunch then down for naps
12
ish ME time, laundry, fed Kirby, dishes, couple of other chores while watching a
Tivo'd show
1:30 (all at the same time) sirens start going off, Logan's knocking at his door, I'm going to wake him for speech
At this time I switched to live TV and determined the sirens are "just a test". I get Sophie up and put Logan and Sophie in the guest bathtub with pillow pets and blankets. Get Wrangler, phones, and drinks for everyone. Decide to get a game too. We ended up spending 2 and a half hours in the bathroom. We played Disney
Yahtzee, colored in the coloring books, read some stories, had car races up the tub walls, and ate snacks. I'd come out periodically to check the warnings and stuff (spotty reception with the phone in the bathroom). Finally, lifted the warnings at 4pm.
4pm ordered
Chipwrecked for the kids to watch
5pm started dinner, ate and cleaned up
6pm kids played with the all the Easter activities I put out for them while I did more laundry (working on the last of 3 loads) and got on the computer
We"ll start bedtime routine early at 7pm, with bath for Sophie and shower for Logan. After evening chore, teeth, stories, and "amens", off to bed for them. I'll probably do a couple more things around the house, including getting stuff ready for preschool tomorrow. Then hopefully relax with some mindless TV before bed.
